With 350+ members, the Rotary Club of Louisville is the 13th largest club of Rotary International’s 46,000+ clubs around the world. Our Club has been serving others in this community and worldwide since 1912.
We welcome guests and visiting Rotarians from all over the world at our weekly Thursday luncheon meetings. Our programs involve prominent leaders in every field, and our membership represents the business and civic leaders of our community and our state.
We are connected with each other, our community and with other Rotarians worldwide.

"Funding Your Project" Live Training for Committees: December 5
Since we will not have a regular in-person meeting on Thursday, December 5th, the Service Projects & Grants Committee will take the opportunity to provide a live "Funding Your Projects" training session at NOON via Zoom for any committees that plan to apply for grants for the 2025-2026 Rotary year. December 12th Meeting: Lance Burton, Master Magician
The December 12 meeting at the University Club will feature Lance Burton, Master Magician.
The menu is salmon and spinach orzo with a lemon cream sauce; a salad with grilled chicken or a vegetarian/vegan and/or gluten-free option is available upon advance request.

There is a $5 meeting fee for those who choose not to purchase a meal - this will include a dessert and tea/coffee/water and, of course, a fantastic program. You can pay $5 cash, check or scan the QR code at check-in to pay with a credit card.

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Lance Burton burst onto the national stage on October 28, 1981, by making his first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Over the years he racked up appearances on David Letterman, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson, The View, The World’s Greatest Magic, Hollywood Squares, and even acted in guest starring roles on Knight Rider, and Las Vegas.
In 1996 Lance Burton’s first TV special, LANCE BURTON MASTER MAGICIAN; THE LEGEND BEGINS, aired on NBC. This was quickly followed by a series of annual TV specials. He also hosted specials for The History Channel, Discovery, Animal Planet, The Family Channel, and many more.
While successful on TV, Lance Burton’s greatest accomplishments have been made in live performance. Working primarily in Las Vegas he has performed an astounding FIFTEEN THOUSAND shows for over FIFTEEN MILLION fans in his 30-year career.
Today, Lance Burton is happily retired and lives quietly at his farm in Kentucky. He spends his time supporting a number of charities including The Kentucky Humane Society, Nevada SPCA, Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, Variety Children’s Charity, and the Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals.
His new live touring show, Lance Burton Master Magician & Friends is a mix of illusions, sleight of hand, audience participation, and amazing guest stars. A Las Vegas show suitable for the whole family!

It's time for our annual "Battle of the Bells" competition with the Kiwanis Club!
Join us for this service opportunity at the Holiday Manor Kroger on US 42. You can choose one or more of the shifts below - we need 4 volunteers for each shift and guests/children are welcome.

Shifts are from 9:00 to 10:30, 10:30 to noon, noon to 1:30, 1:30 to 3:00

Re:Center Ministries Meal Service: December 11
Thanks to President-Elect Ken Selvaggi who served the meal this month along with Hulyn Farr, David Snyder and Craig Scherman!
Our next Re:Center Ministries meal service will be Wednesday, December 11th at 5:30 p.m. at 757 S Brook St.
This will be an opportunity to celebrate with our friends going through the rehab program at Re:Center. The Holiday Season is a tough time for many, including those with addictions. Joining these men for an early holiday meal makes me grateful for all the gifts of God's grace.
Our Club provides the main meal prepared by Kingsley Catering. We need volunteers to bring drinks, salad, rolls, and desserts, which are usually fruit pies from Kroger. But ABOVE ALL, we just need a few more Rotarians to participate in serving the meal and sitting down with the men to break bread.
